A stretch? Maybe. But when you start to think about ways in which the situation in Mexico is different from Pakistan the only obvious missing component is radicalized religious nonsense. Granted, no small factor. But the potential for extreme chaos on this side of the Rio Grande is so great that the possibility, however small, shouldn't be completely discounted.
